Camet Trading SAC shipped this Saturday, September 16 its first load of Hass avocado to India and prepares its second shipment for Tuesday, September 19.

The agro-exporting company Camet Trading SAC, which is part of the multinational Westfalia Fruit, sent the first tons of Peruvian Hass avocado to the cities of New Delhi and Mumbai, opening this new market for Peruvian exports. In the 2016 season, the company was the first to reach Shanghai, China.

India is the second most populated country in the world with 1.2 billion inhabitants and this is a great opportunity to develop a new market for Peruvian Hass avocado. On this first occasion, the destinations will be the cities of New Delhi and Mumbai. This fruit comes from Fundo Casablanca in Chilca, Cañete and will be sold in different self-service chains in both cities.
