Camet Trading ships first sea container of Peruvian avocado to India

Camet Trading SAC sent the first sea container of Hass avocado from Peru to India last May 16 and expects its arrival at the port of Nhava Sheva for this Saturday, July 7. This milestone marks the next chapter in the companys history with the Southwest Asian giant, since in September 2017, Camet Trading SAC sent the first air shipments of avocado to the cities of New Delhi and Mumbai.

Camet Trading SAC is committed to the development of this market of 1.2 billion inhabitants for Peruvian Hass avocado. In April of this year and according to the objective set, the company sent a trade delegation to India to meet with its importers and jointly develop a strategy for the introduction of Hass La Chilca avocado in the Indian market.

Since the start of the 2018 campaign and according to the agreed introduction schedule, weekly air shipments are being made and promotional campaigns are being executed in supermarkets and boutique stores in the cities of New Delhi and Mumbai. The promising results of the promotion campaign encouraged the company and its importers to send a second sea container a week after the first one.
